| Oaklawn cancels Thursday races due to cold weather HOT SPRINGS, Ark. (January 17, 2018) – Oaklawn management has cancelled Thursday's nine-race card due to frigid temperatures. Central Arkansas has been experiencing near record lows since Monday night and for the safety of the horses and horsemen, the decision to cancel racing was made.
