Thousands Without Power As Winter Storm Hunter Hits New England Winter Storm Hunter swept into the Northeast and New England Saturday, causing travel problems and knocking out power. I-40 in western Tennessee was closed Friday afternoon because of a large pileup. Schools and businesses were closed for many districts and cities from the South up to Michigan.

Freezing rain may turn into South Arkansas snowfall by early Tuesday ... an end later on Tuesday. There is still some uncertainty in the forecast for this event, but some accumulation of ice and snow is looking very possible at this time. The National Weather Service in Little Rock said that less than an inch of accumulation may be experienced in central and south Arkansas.
